Happy Dress Up Your Pet Day! At least it’s happy for me. I don’t know why Colleen Paige invented this day. A pet lifestyle expert (which she apparently is) should know that 95 percent of dogs and 99 percent of cats don’t want to wear clothes. But no matter. This day was tailor made for me (pun intended). As you know, I’m in the 1 percent (probably less) of cats who enjoy dressing up! So I’m picking out a favorite dress to wear today, one I don’t get to wear very often.
It does look good on me, and considering that it’s been pretty chilly, even here in southern California, it’s a good choice for this day. But there’s a secret about this dress that not many people know.
My dress has a doppelganger! This more holiday-inspired one, with the plaid skirt and trim, came first. Then, sometime later, my human saw the one with the pink skirt and trim. She knew it was the same design with a different color scheme and material, but she thought it suited me. So she got it. It’s not often you find the same pet dresses in different colors or patterns. Although it does happen sometimes.
