What day is it? Why, it’s the holiday you can smell — National Fried Chicken Day!
To celebrate, my human stopped by Jollibee for one of their Chickenjoy meals. In case you don’t know about Jollibee, the chain originated in the Philippines, and has some of the best fried chicken of any of the major fried chicken brands. There is one only minutes from our house.
One of the features of Jollibee is that their sides are a little different from most American based fried chicken chains. Of course my human could have gotten fries or mashed potatoes, but she chose rice with gravy instead. Not that I cared, of course.
I only had eyes for the most important part — the fried chicken. The whole reason for the holiday!
It was finger licking good! Wrong brand, I know. But still true.
