We’re a little late on announcing Cat World Domination Day this year! It’s coming up fast, only ten days from this post. June 24 falls on a Monday this year, and of course there will be a party!
You may or may not know the history of Cat World Domination Day. It began in 2012, on the birthday of Sparkle, the founder of this blog. My human couldn’t come up with a good gift for her, so instead she gave her a holiday. And it became a yearly celebration.
Once I got here, it continued. My first one was a pretty simple affair.
But they eventually got more elaborate, with a different theme every year. Eventually, word spread beyond the cat blogging world. In fact, several websites that list pet holidays include Cat World Domination Day! Which is pretty cool.
Instead of an elaborate party this year, we’re going to keep things pretty simple. But I will be going live on several of my social media platforms to celebrate cat world domination. If you follow me on any of them, I’ll be letting you know the times there.
